Meet Crisper

Meet Crisper

In the orchards of Western North Carolina stood an apple tree known for producing the most ambitious fruit on all the land.  Fruit from this tree had been known to keep doctors away for years. Apples from this tree had been given to numerous North Carolina teachers later named Teacher of the Year. Many of these apples had been served in recipes that had won gold ribbons in cooking competitions nationwide.

However, there was one such apple who had quite a different ambition. While he admired those apples who wanted to work in education, health care and nutrition, he was an entertainer and dreamed of green grass, red clay and a stadium full of fans.

Early one morning, this young entertainer snuck out of a kid’s brown bag lunch and waited on the school bus floor until the baseball team hopped aboard later that afternoon. This budding star made his way into the bat bag of the team’s best player, where he helped propel the team to victory. That night, this young apple earned the name ‘Crisper’, and he’s been entertaining players and fans alike since 2022 at his new home, The Orchard at Berkeley Park in Hendersonville, North Carolina. COME MEET CRISPER AT EAST HENDERSON HIGH SCHOOL, HIS TEMPORARY HOME FOR THE 2025 SEASON.
